Botox or filler. Which do you need first?
Most people confuse the two. They do completely different things. Here's the simple decision tree we use.

Botox relaxes muscles. It softens lines created by movement. Forehead, between the brows, crow's feet.
Filler restores volume. It plumps where collagen, fat, or bone has receded. Cheeks, lips, under-eyes, marionette lines.
The simple test:
- Make a serious face. The lines that appear with the expression and disappear when you relax → Botox territory. - Relax your face completely. Lines or hollows that are still there at rest → filler territory.
Most patients in their 30s start with Botox and add filler in their late 30s or 40s. By your 50s, structural filler (cheeks, jawline) often becomes the priority and Botox the support act.
Don't let anyone sell you both on the same day without explaining why. A good consult walks you through what each one is doing, and what you can skip.
And. Important. Never get either from someone working out of a hotel room. If something goes wrong, you want the practitioner to be in a real medical office, with reversal agents and emergency protocols. We've fixed too many of these to count.
