Perimenopause starts earlier than you think. Here's the checklist.
If you're a woman 35+ noticing sleep changes, weight shifts, or brain fog. The hormonal shift may have already started. Here are the markers to check.

Perimenopause is the transition period. Usually 4 to 10 years. Before full menopause. Hormones don't drop in a straight line; they oscillate. That's why you feel "off" before your cycle changes.
Symptoms we hear most often: - Waking at 3 a.m. With mind racing - Stubborn weight gain around the midsection - Sex drive 40% of what it was - Periods heavier or more variable - Anxiety or irritability with no clear trigger - Brain fog by 3 p.m.
If 3 or more of these are familiar, ask your provider for this lab panel:
1. Estradiol, progesterone, FSH, LH. On day 21 of cycle if still cycling 2. Free and total testosterone 3. Thyroid: TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3, antibodies 4. Cortisol. At least morning and afternoon 5. Vitamin D, B12, ferritin, magnesium 6. HbA1c, fasting insulin 7. CRP and homocysteine for inflammation
That baseline tells us whether you're early, mid, or late perimenopause. And what to actually treat. Don't accept "your labs are normal" without seeing the numbers yourself. "Normal range" is statistical, not optimal.
We order this panel on day 1 of every longevity intake. Once we have it, we can build a real plan.
